Mahogany Music Box

This vintage music box plays 50 different songs, it’s animated, and it’s very cool! But, it was originally housed in a drab, boring box.

I rebuilt the box and applied some custom book-matched mahogany veneer. I took extra care to create heart shaped patterns on the sides and a geometric pattern on the top.

I then banded the edges with small blackwood strips. I also engraved the client’s actual signature into the top of the box.
